At one time the ball point pen was controversial!

Hi, I’m Diane Holloway and this is my first year at FDR and I am teaching Grade 6 and 8 science.  I’ve taught in China, Japan, Bulgaria, Pakistan and in the USA.  Traveling is a passion of mine, especially if I can do  it on a bicycle.  I’ve just bought a city bike and hope to start exploring more of Lima on a bike soon.

When I was in elementary school, I attended a Catholic school and we had to use fountain pens! For a left handed person like me, those fountain pens were one giant smearrrrrr of ink.  No ball point pens were allowed because it would “ruin”my handwriting!! I see technology as the new “pen and paper” of our times.
